Until October 10, 384,881 vaccines against covid-19 were administered in Madeira, since December 31, 2020.
Of the total number of vaccines administered (384 881), 205 620 correspond to the administration of the first dose and 203 355 doses of complete vaccination.
The coverage rate of the resident population over 50 years is over 95% and among residents aged between 12 and 24 years the coverage rate is over 75%.
A homogeneous distribution of the population vaccinated by municipalities is also observed, more than 80% of the total vaccination, with the exception of the municipalities of Câmara de Lobos and Santa Cruz.
According to the data, provisional, collected, on October 10, through the National Registration Platform and Vaccines Management (VACINAS) 82% of the resident population already has complete vaccination and 84% the vaccination started. However, it is important to strengthen that the Autonomous Region of Madeira is awaiting validation of the registration of vaccines made to recovered users. (5762).
This validation by the Shared Services of the Ministry of Health is crucial to assign the real complete vaccination rate recorded in the region to date.
