Government grants 2,6 million euros to firemen associations
The Regional Secretary for Health and Civil Protection, Pedro Ramos, chaired today the signing ceremony of six contracts-program, worth a total of 2,6 million euros with various entities.An investment of the Regional Government that allows the operability of the rescue and emergency service in the Region and represents a strengthening of the operational capacity of the fire brigades. Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters Madeirenses; Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Calheta; Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Câmara de Lobos; Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Ribeira Brava and Ponta do Sol; Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of São Vicente and Porto Moniz and Humanitarian Association of Volunteer Firefighters of Santana were the targeted entities.

Madeira registers 61 new cases and 120 recovered
Madeira registers this Tuesday more 61 new cases of infection by SARS-CoV-2 in RAM, all of local transmission. There are still 120 more cases recovered, and the RAM counts, to date, a total of 64 deaths associated with covid-19.
There are 1,122 active cases, of which 23 are imported cases and 1,099 are local transmission cases.

DRS denies DGS figures
Regional Directorate of Health (DRS) denies, in a statement, the data reported today regarding the epidemiological situation in Portugal, with respect to the region. “The reliable figures are the data reported, daily, by the Regional Health Directorate, clearly, safely and transparently”, ensures the note reached our newsroom.
Mais, ainda segundo comunicado “os casos divulgados pela DRS são referentes aos cidadãos residentes, com residência fiscal, na Madeira e turistas com diagnóstico de COVID-19 identificados na região”, can be read in the note.
